HowMuchToLive works without accounts. We collect as little as we need to keep the prices honest.

When you add a price

• What you typed: the city, item, price and currency.
• A device code: a random code your browser keeps in local storage so we can limit repeat reports. We store only a salted one-way hash of it.
• Your network: a salted one-way hash of your IP address, your network operator's number (ASN) and the country it is in. We never store the IP address itself.
• A bot check: Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process browser signals under Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.

We use this only to check reports, prevent abuse and calculate statistics. Individual reports are never shown publicly; we publish only aggregated figures.

When you just browse

No tracking cookies and no advertising scripts. Pages may use your approximate location from your network (city level, provided by Cloudflare) to suggest your home city. It is not stored.

Questions or removal

Because we don't know who you are, we can't link reports to you. If you want reports from your device removed, clear this site's storage in your browser and contact us with roughly when and what you reported.
